Writing Unit 4: Are you for or against using animals in experiments?

A lot of scientists or doctors use rats or other animals to test their newest medical discoveries. Many protests against this kind of experimentation have appeared but the government hasn’t made a move.

People in favor of this type of experiments argument that the medical advances have been achieved by using lab rats for tests. Without using rats to prove if some substances can be released to the public market, we wouldn’t have saved as many lives.

On the other hand, a part of the population argues that tons of rats are killed in many suffering ways: many of these tests have resulted into failures and have hurt the poor creatures. That is why they obviously demand the prohibition to test new products on animals whatever the public needs.

                                                              

All in all, I think that these animals suffer impossibly painful deaths and that even by their decease we may be able to save human lives and eliminate more CO2 from being released to the atmosphere, I say that either we stop testing painful methods to animals, or order the experimentations to be always harmless for the animals (which I don’t think is possible by the way).

Writing Unit 2

Hi Josephine

As you might have heard, I recently met a woman different than any other. Her name is Ane. She’s the most beautiful girl you can imagine, but we’ve recently had some problems.

When we met in a cinema, we sat next to each other and realized that we were twin souls. A week later we were living in the same House. That’s where the problems started: my girlfriend gets home late, drinks a lot of vodka and slaps me and erases my homework from the computer. But the next day she starts to cry and begs me to forgive her. She says she loves me and I love her too but in a few days she starts drinking too much again.

I’ve been thinking a lot since then. I think I should leave her, but I just can’t think of life without her, she’s the electricity in my heart. But these violent attacks are beginning to be more frequent. What do you reckon?

My Last summer vacation

Hello, the name is Enric and today I am going to talk to you about what Idid last summer.

My last summer vacation started out like it has allways been for me I catch up with lazyness and I bdo notihng apart for meeting my friends and swimming. Any kind of action that supposes an efort to me is imidiatly discarded. I later started doing more things and not being so lazy and did all kinds of activities, we could say, and that's how I got to the end of July. I left with my family to go to Germany by plane. I went to Lübek, Wismar and other parts of northern Germany. I discovered lots of new exciting things to eat, I must admit that German cuissine is great. We later went to Denmark by car and we visited Copenhaguen and met some friends that showed us sailing and all types of delicious fish. We went back  to Hamburg in Germany to say our last regards to Germany as we left back to Catalonia. I spent the last days of August and September staying in may grandfather's house in Tortellà, hanging out with my friends, playing handball and especially swimming.
